My Journey

I'm not Handicapped, I'm Handicapable.
(and no i didnt get that from due date lol)

I left home and drove from nj to california in search of an independent life and safe access to my medicine* so i can live. It's been an interesting journey, lots of ups, lots of downs, and even though I am now weaker than ever...nothing will ever stop me from living my dream, regardless of how long I get to live.

Life is too precious and short to waste time. And I'm Ready.

The three videos below are before and after i left nj, an interview with the Washington Post during my road trip, some audition, and one other one hahaha idk i didnt set up the web site, im kinda lost there :P below that are blog entries! thank you!

Help to save Mikey's life

As you know, Mikey has always been able to smile through the pain, no matter what, until recently. The pain in his stomach is now worse than ever and has led to an inability to eat, causing rapid weight loss. At 6'1", he's a meager 75 lbs and dropping fast. It's getting more difficult for Mikey to smile through the pain and fear.

One of the only places where Mikey can get help is the MAYO clinic in Minnesota. There, a team of specialized doctors will work together to figure out how his illnesses affect each other and can be treated to restore health and balance to his body so he can keep living his incredible life.

All of this obviously comes with a large amount of costs, which can only be covered with the help and donations of as many people as possible – even if it's just a dollar. Please click on one of the two following links to access the crowd funding campaigns that will help Mikey get better. Thank you!

So...we just left Burlington on our way to Albany.  We are extremely lost but I am confident in Mathew's ability to navigate and type for me at the same time!  :)  Life beautifully surprised me once again, but I wasn't really surprised to find out what I already knew:  That people are way cooler than snow.  It was my first time into Burlington, VT.  2 eggs over easy, with some sausage and some herb gravy on top of my biscuits, which was quite interesting and very satisfying, a delightful roll down Church Street, a very scenic sunset on Lake Champlain, a quick visit to the aquarium, met some cool kids doing tricks on Razors, to which I replied, "My only cool trick is a wheelie,"  followed by a brief demonstration of my gnarly wheelie skills, hah!  Followed by a visit to Burlington's gem, Nectar's and an insider's tour of UVM's radio station, thank you Nick for everything!  Long story short, beautiful people, beautiful friends, beautiful state and an all together beautiful experience, just as I knew it would be.  The next blog post will be a video when this never ending drive is over.

Love You All!

And thank you to everybody for your more than gracious donations.  You have no idea how much it helps and means to me, and the Salvation Army as well, hehe, because you gotta spread the love when you get it...and even if you don't.

Hello Michael,
Restless, pushing the limits, exploring on your own. ....that is an apt portrayal of you.. My first memory of you Michael is with your mom in Pasar Mayestik. I am showing your mom around and the next thing I know we are looking everywhere for you. You, at 18 months, with your irresistible need to check things out for yourself, took off to explore parts unknown. Always the adventurer and the sweetest young man I know. I wish you well and look forward to reading this blog and staying in touch. Take care of yourself.
We love and admire you.
